Mr. Don was apprenticed to a Saigon portrait studio as a seven-year-old child where he learned the basics of photography. |

| 1950 |
He attended Vietnam University College of Art and began to teach the art and science of photography at age 21. |
| |
|
| 1979 |
He fled by boat and came as a refugee to the United States where he resides completely within a Chinese community. |
